&lt;div&gt;The map seed determines the overall tile layout for the overland map, but the actual sites present on each tile can vary. That is, the wilderness tiles will not necessarily be the same with the same seed; however, some map seeds very consistently produce wilderness on specific tiles.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

If you manage to defeat the battle with only one hero remaining, rather than being killed by another hero, the Gorgon dies from its injuries. The hero becomes Gorgonoid, as usual.&lt;br /&gt;
