Outcome The NPC joins the battle against the deepists.

2. "Let us handle this. You shouldn't have to be involved."

Outcome The party battles the deepists.

Trivia

Regardless of the choice, the party is given the option to recruit the NPC for 2 legacy points, who begins with the following line in their history:

<Hero> once knew a great love, until their their beloved fell to the sway of the Deepists. Unable to save them, <Hero> joined <Company> to help keep others from falling to false promises. 

This event is not possible to trigger in the Monarchs Under the Mountain campaign.
