One of the heroes makes one false step and falls into a hole (or is it a trap?).
Choices
1. "I'll climb down and help [name] up."
Outcome Roll. Success = the hero is easily rescued. The hero has an idea to use the trap to their advantage in the upcoming battle. Failure = the rescuer tumbles into the hole. All heroes get a temporary debuff -3 block and -3 dodge (for the duration of the battle only). The two heroes in hole also have -1 speed.
2. "Let's take our time, tie off a rope, be safe and sure."
Outcome The hero is rescued.
3. "Or... maybe we leave them down there to act as bait?"
Outcome Begin the assault. All heroes get a temporary bonus +2 damage and potency (for the duration of the battle only). Ther hero in the hole does not join the battle until turn 4.
