A Hero wakes one of their companions for an urgent matter.

Choices

1. So in the middle of the night, they went. Where they went? Only <Hero> knew.

1.1 "There's gaps in my life. And a pain I've lived with, that I can't explain. I want to know why."

Outcome They challenge the guardian. Defeating him grants 1 Legacy point, and the following is added to the hero's history:

There was a time they went on a journey to a mountain cave, and by the blue-glowing Pool of Revisions faced some of the old pain that tortured their memories. They emerged wiser, and afterwards, was more able to smile.

1.2 "Darkness covers some of my memories. This feeling... that I did something bad, long ago..."

Outcome They challenge the person waiting for them. Battle starts with Courage (all party members gain +2 damage/potency for 3 turns). Upon victory, a calamity card is removed, the hero gains +10 retirement age, and the following is added to the hero's history:

There was a time, then, that they went on a journey to a mountain cave, and by the pink-glowing Pool of Reckoning, faced the truth of their origin. A pair of loving parents, slain by a malevolent Lostling, set free by their own unwitting hand. <Hero> destroyed the evil thing there, and carried the good memories, along with the bad, ever after.

2. "No... I need a few days at least."

Outcome Decline the opportunity.
