While patrolling in the mist, two heroes as captured by Deepists. They are caged along with an old automaton equipped with a shovel.
Choices
1. SNAG!
- 1.1 <Hero> and <Hero> play dead and attempt to ambush their captors.
Outcome Success: The two heroes begin battle with Nausea (all party members lose 1 hitpoint), and the battle starts with Endurance (all party members gain +1 armor and +1 warding).
Failure: The two heroes begin battle with Nausea (all party members lose 1 hitpoint), and the battle starts with Intimidation (all foes suffer 2 damage to start the mission).
- 1.2 <Hero> amputates <Hero>'s arm, and they use the materials to fix the Morthagi digger.
Outcome The hero loses their left arm to activate the old robot. The robot Erklebits leads them out of the cage and will join fights along with the hero. Afterwards, the following is added to the hero's history: Captured by Deepists, they sacrificed a limb to save their own life, and the life of their companion, <Hero>.
