Outcome One of the party removes the splinter and the ensuing battle begins with Courage (all party members gain +2 damage/potency). The following is added to the hero's history:
For a while, <Hero> carried a long, blood-heavy splinter, pulled from their own body. It knocked around in a little leather pouch at their belt.

Outcome The splinter remains inside the hero and the hero gets Elmsoul. The ensuing battle begins with Haste (all party members have +1 speed for the duration of combat).
