Omenroad Rewards

From Wildermyth Wiki

Rewards are bonuses from nodes in Omenroad games that can be used to gain or improve gear, resources, abilities, or other effects. On combat nodes, the main reward is the one shown on the banner while the secondary reward, if there is one, is shown in the smaller circle to the bottom right. Each type of reward appears as a main reward or as a secondary reward. Secondary rewards not shown on the nodemap may also appear as bonus rewards. The chance of bonus rewards appearing is increased by the Ode to Fortune.

In order to gain rewards (except combat buffs), a hero must move adjacent to the scenery piece for that reward and use a swift action to claim it before the timer expires. The first time a hero moves adjacent to a given reward, the timer for that reward will increase by one turn. Claiming a reward removes hidden.

Main Rewards

Resources

Grants 10, 13, or 16 random resources depending on page number (larger reward on higher pages). Resources can be used for crafting at Blacksmith nodes.

Chest

Grants one random weapon or armor and two augments.

Fancy Chest

Grants one higher level artifact weapon , one armor piece and two augments. The artifact weapon can only be an item obtainable from random drops.

Ability Shrine

Grants the hero who claims it an additional ability choice without leveling up.

Forge

Increases the tier of one weapon or armor of the hero who claims it by 1. Grants a random class-appropriate tier 1 armor when used by a hero with Humble Ginnings.

Combat Buff

Grants a random combat buff (beneficial combat modifier) for the rest of the page. This modifier takes effect immediately; there is no scenery piece that needs to be interacted with to obtain it.

Secondary Rewards

Theme Shrine

Theme shrines grant the claiming hero one piece (or, in some cases, two pieces) of a given theme. Additional pieces can be granted for one legacy point each. Theme compatibility restrictions present in normal campaigns are ignored and theme shrines can even be used to overwrite existing theme pieces.

Only three pieces are shown at a time. The "Default Piece Choices" shown below are the pieces offered to a hero with no themes. If a hero does have other themes already, shrines tend to show pieces that correspond to theme slots that have not already been filled; however, the priority is determined differently for each shrine.

If "Automatic Head" is listed as "Yes", then the head piece for that theme will be added at the same time as the chosen piece if the head theme slot is available. If the head slot is not available, the head piece for that theme cannot be obtained.

Most theme shrines allow a hero to claim the shrine but decline the transformation by clicking "Done"; however, if "Allows Decline" is listed as "No", the hero who claims the shrine must accept at least one offered piece. For these shrines, the player must let the timer on the shrine expire without claiming it if they do not wish to have that theme on any heroes.

Rescuable Pet

Grants the claiming hero the rescued pet. If the hero already has a pet, the newly rescued pet replaces the existing one.

Relationship Shrine

Allows choosing the type of relationship and adds a large number of relationship points between two heroes standing adjacent to the shrine. The number of points added is usually enough to bring the heroes to a level 4 or 5 relationship, but depends on compatibility and charisma (needs verification). Skeletal heroes cannot have their relationships modified by a relationship shrine or be either of the two heroes used to claim it.

Small Resource Chest

Grants 5, 6, or 7 random resources depending on page number (larger reward on higher pages). Resources can be used for crafting at Blacksmith nodes.

Small Gear Chest

Grants two random augments.

Healingstone

Fully heals and removes negative status effects from all adjacent heroes.
